We are a locally owned, independent specialty store focused on the proper selection and fit of shoes for runners and walkers. We provide advice on training and the prevention of running injuries to people who ask and have a good relationship with a number of physical therapists, podiatrists and orthopedists with experience in treating runners should you need a referral. Many of these doctors and physical therapists refer their patients to us for help with the conservative management of a number of foot issues.

We fit shoes with both our eyes and our ears, meaning we assess your foot type and foot mechanics and then ask you a number of questions about your exercise habits. How often, how many miles, how much intensity, what type of surfaces do you run on and injury history, if any, are just some of the things that help us guide you in your selection of a shoe. 

We realize that you have many choices when deciding where to buy your running and walking shoes. We believe that there is significant value in having a thorough assesment when choosing your shoe and that is included as part of our sevice to you when you buy your shoes from us, along with on-going advice on training, injuries, etc. Should you prefer to purchase your shoes elsewhere, we are happy to do an assesment and make a recommendation for you for a $20.00 fitting fee. Just let us know if that is your preference.
